About the Youth Music Project (YMP)

Stevenson Klotz Injury Lawyers Eric Stevenson and Chris Klotz both played in their high school bands. They also played in bands with friends as young adults. Through their shared musical interests, they built friendships and a connection to the community.

Built on the belief that music is a vital, inspiring and positive force, the Stevenson Klotz Injury Lawyers formed the Youth Music Project to nurture young musicians in the Pensacola, Florida area. The YMP objective is to encourage young musicians, expand their abilities and create quality performance opportunities.

Established in 2015, YMP sponsors several programs to honor and encourage young musicians. In addition to sponsoring the Youth Music Project Stage at Gallery Night Pensacola, YMP sponsors the Band Member of the Month and Band Member of the Year award in conjunction with the Pensacola News Journal. Recipients excel in musicianship, leadership, and work ethic.

Monthly honorees receive $100, and the band member of the year receives $1,000. They are honored in the Pensacola News Journal and on social media platforms. Escambia County and Santa Rosa County band members are eligible to receive the award.

In addition, YMP helps distribute new and pre-owned instruments and sound equipment to young musicians. It also sponsors a scholarship contest for students with accompanying classroom awards for teachers.

Through these opportunities, the Stevenson Klotz Injury Lawyers support young musicians in their growth.
