Escambia County Jail Explosion Attorney Interviews

Posted on

The news media has reported over the weekend that attorneys are being denied access to interview inmates housed by Escambia County. This attempt to prevent inmates injured in the blast from seeking legal counsel for either their criminal case to get a bond to get out and get medical attention or to hire a personal injury attorney has been frustrating to the inmates and their loved ones to say the least.

However, I received a call from the Escambia County Attorney’s Office today, and they will be letting me and the attorneys working with me into the facilities to meet with clients effective immediately. I will be sending them a list of the people we want to see, and the county says it will make them available to me. While this is later than I would have liked, I am glad to announce that we will be seeing clients again.
